Dodge Brothers Convertible - 1929
This 1929 Dodge Brothers (convertible), previously owned by Resident Maharani of Sundergarh in Odisha, is one of the largest, heaviest and most luxurious vehicles ever produced by Dodge. The Senior 6 Sports Tourer was aimed at the lower end of the luxury market and competed with such cars as the Auburn 8, Buick Master, Hupmobile 8, Marmon 8 and Studebaker President. It was fitted with a 4 litre, 78 HP 6 cylinder engine which, according to the sales literature of the day, was "supercharged with power", "contemptuous of grades - scornful of bad roads and detours". An original sales brochure boasted how the car would cruise at 70 mph.
